Endoscopic Tummy Tuck
The endoscopic technique is ideal for individuals with little skin laxity and abdominal fat. During this procedure, a small camera will be placed through small incisions to perform the tightening of abdominal muscles. While this procedure does result in fewer incisions than other techniques, it is limited to very few patients.
Mini Tummy Tuck
The mini tummy tuck is used in patients with excess skin and fat in the lower abdomen. An incision will be created horizontally between the hip bones, and excess fat and skin will be removed below the belly button.
Full Tummy Tuck
The full tummy tuck is the most common type of tummy tuck performed today. During this procedure, an incision between the hip bones will allow access to the abdomen, allowing for excess skin and fat to be removed. The belly button is often repositioned as well. Dr. Wallach also performs a modified full tummy tuck, which is appropriate for patients who require a full tummy tuck but have incisions on their abdomen from other surgical procedures.
Circumferential Tummy Tuck
The circumferential tummy tuck is done for patients who have undergone massive weight loss and have large amounts of excess skin. Also known as a lower body lift, this procedure works to remove excess skin and fat from the lower body for a more proportionate body silhouette.
