Are you unhappy with sagging skin or hollow-looking areas on your face? As we age, our face loses fat and collagen, resulting in a deflated and loose appearance. A facelift can be a great option for those who wish to turn back the hands of time. There are both non-invasive and surgical facelift approaches used in New York to meet the needs of every patient. These techniques include:

Non-Invasive Options

Fat Injection-

As our faces age, they lose the fat that gives us a youthful appearance. Fat injections can be used to rejuvenate the appearance of the face, filling in hollow-looking areas. Fat injections can be used alone or along with other face lifting procedures to produce optimal results.

Liquid Facelift –

A liquid facelift uses facial fillers such as Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse, Juvederm, or Scultpra along with neuromodulators like Dysport of Botox. The dermal fillers can be used to fill in areas of the face that have lost volume, while the neuromodulators can be used to treat wrinkles and lines in the forehead and around the eyes.

Surgical Options

Composite Facelift-

During this facelift, the tissues below the connective tissue layer over the facial muscles are dissected, and moved as one unit with the skin to lift the facial tissues.

Deep Plane Facelift-

This lift is done just above the bone, and is done on a deeper plane than more traditional lifts. The deep plane lift treats the upper two-thirds of the face, and is often done with a brow lift for a more youthful appearance.

Extended High SMAS Facelift-

SMAS refers to the Superficial Musculo-Aponeurotic System, which is a tissue layer above the facial muscles. This procedure lifts the soft tissues of the cheek and neck while allowing the skin to be redraped freely.

MACS Facelift-

MACS stands for Minimal Access Cranial Suspension lift. This facelift Is a limited incision lift to elevate the cheeks and improve the appearance of the jaw line.

Mid-Facelift-

A mid-facelift treats the cheeks often through a lower lid incision as an isolated procedure. However, a mid-facelift can be accomplished through other more traditional facelift incision approaches.

Neck Lift-

A neck lift is commonly done along with a facelift to help remove unwanted fat in the neck and platysma banding.  A neck lift also tightens the sagging skin.

Overall, a consultation is needed to determine which type of facelift procedure can help to meet your individual goals. If you are located in the New York area and are interested in undergoing a facelift, contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Wallach.

I’m so happy with the results from the Botox shots that Dr. Wallach performed on me. He spent a lot of time talking about the different fillers that would make my face look the most natural and youthful.
