Fat Transfer

Fat transfer is the most common method for augmenting the buttocks. Fat grafting or injections are accepted as a safe and effective filler that offers natural results. During the fat transfer procedure, needles are used to inject fat into the area that needs volume.

The fat transfer procedure is a two stage process. Liposuction is performed first to harvest fat from the donor sites. The fat is then processed and injected into the desired augmented areas. This is a safe procedure that offers men long-lasting results that look natural.

Implants

Buttock implants are highly customizable and come in various shapes and sizes to fit your unique requirements. Silicone implants used for buttock augmentation offer a natural feel. Dr. Wallach will place the chosen silicone implant in the most ideal position so that you get the desired aesthetic outcome. The implants offer you a fuller gluteal area with results that are permanent until they are removed.

The surgical procedure to insert the buttock implants takes about 2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia. A well-experienced surgeon like Dr. Wallach places your incisions in discreet areas of your buttocks so that the scars are practically invisible.

Filler Products

Buttock augmentation with filler products can be performed in patients that either do not have enough fat donor sites or do not want buttock augmentation with implants. This is commonly performed with Sculptra. Sculptra is not a permanent product and is thought to last for two or more years and may induce natural collagen production at the site of injection. Often times multiple procedures can be performed 4-6 weeks apart to achieve your desired goals.

Recovery

Once you get buttock implants or gluteal augmentation, you will have to avoid lying on your back or sitting down for about 3 weeks. You can also reduce swelling with the special compression garment you will have to wear after your procedure. Some of the common side effects of the procedure include discomfort, swelling, and bruising. Most men are able to return to their work routine within 2 to 3 weeks. Most swelling from gluteal augmentation and buttock implants will be resolved within 6-8 weeks from your procedure.
