Whether you have opted to use things like facial fillers and injectables, or you have decided to take a more natural approach to aging, there are things that will harm your skin and things that will help your skin stay looking younger for longer. Try incorporating these methods into your daily routine to have young, glowy skin that virtually everyone is jealous of.
Sunscreen
No matter what age you are or what part of the world you live in, it is important to get into the habit of wearing sunscreen not just when you’re at the beach, but everyday. By simply driving in your car or sitting next to a window, you are exposing your skin to the suns harsh rays that can wrinkle and damage your once flawless skin. If you notice that sunscreens tend to break you out, look for a facial sunscreen that has titanium dioxide in it— this will help to protect you from the sun without simultaneously clogging your pores.
Moisturize
Just like in the desert, cracks and crevices start to form in the sand during a drought without any sort of rain or moisture. The same concept can easily be applied to your skin. If you let your skin crack, peel, and break open then you are simply allowing your skin to form wrinkles prematurely. Instead, make sure that you baby your skin and use a moisturizer both morning and night after you wash your face. This will help to keep your skin smooth all while helping to keep you looking as young as you feel.
Wear Hats
In addition to wearing sunscreen on a daily basis, wearing a large brim hat while you’re out in the sun is another great way to protect your skin from the sun’s harsh rays. However, just because you’re wearing a hat doesn’t mean you can opt out of wearing sunscreen, but rather that you should wear a hat in addition to the sunscreen. By introducing these three things into your daily routine, you can help to keep your skin looking smoother and wrinkle free for longer. To learn more about skin care, contact our office today!
