When getting buttock implants, patients are often concerned about which pocket the implants are going to be placed in and if they will be visible. Depending on your body type, it may not be conducive for you to have an implant placed in one of the outer fat layers. Dr. Wallach prefers to place the implant deeper for the smoothest look.
There are three different levels of soft tissue where implants can be placed. Some surgeons will place it in a subcutaneous plane (the first layer of fat) between the muscle and the overlying soft tissue. With this method, the implant outline may be noticeable. Another issue that can happen is that the soft tissue may drape over the implant and look uneven.
Another layer of fat that implants can be placed in is the subfascia (the layer below the subcutaneous). This is the white layer of fat on top of the muscle. While this layer is a cleaner layer to use, if a person doesn’t carry extra soft tissue the implant may still be visible.
The intramuscular pocket located in the meat of the buttock muscles is the most fool-proof pocket to place an implant. This placement will give better implant coverage for patients who are very thin and provide a better chance for a smooth, lifted buttock.

I’m so happy with the results from the Botox shots that Dr. Wallach performed on me. He spent a lot of time talking about the different fillers that would make my face look the most natural and youthful.
