Yes, you can gently wash your face after the treatment and then go back to all regular activities the following day.

No, you can not purchase half of a syringe, but it does not mean that you have to have the entire syringe injected.

The effect of Juvederm is immediate. You should see improvement as soon as it is injected. If you do not have the desired result, then you may need more product.

There really is no special way to have Juvederm last longer.

Can you drink alcohol after Juvederm?

Initially, if you have bumps, you can massage them to soften the bumps. Later on, if you still have them, you can dissolve them with hyaluronidase.

Juvederm is not expensive and it can last between 6-12 months depending upon which product is used.

Juvederm is very safe to use. The more common risks are minor and include, some bruising, some injection pain, and the occasional small palpable lump of filler.

For some patients, one syringe is enough, whereas for others a second syringe might be needed.

What to avoid after Juvederm injections?

I usually ask my patients to avoid rubbing their face too much for the first day or two after injection.

What to expect after Juvederm injections?

You should see immediate results after injection and some initial numbness that will resolve after the anesthetic wears off.

Can Juvederm migrate?

Juvederm does not usually migrate unless someone forcibly squeezes the area of treatment. It is possible in this case for it to migrate locally.

Does Juvederm soften up?

Juvederm will soften with time.

Is Juvederm lumpy at first?

Juvederm is usually not lumpy, but I will always massage the area that I inject as I fill the area.

What age should you start Juvederm?

There is no specific age at which one has to start getting facial filler injections.

Can Juvederm cause blindness?

In very rare cases, a filler product can cause blindness if the product somehow accidentally gets injected into the bloodstream.

Does Juvederm look natural?

Juvederm can look very natural when used correctly.

Does Juvederm stimulate collagen?

Juvederm may stimulate collagen to some degree, but further treatment will likely be necessary when the product resorbs over time.

Should I massage a Juvederm lump?

I usually recommend massage for small lumps that may initially occur after the procedure. If a lump is noted more than a few days after the procedure, it may be difficult to massage it down.

Is it normal to have bumps after Juvederm?

It is not normal to have bumps after Juvederm injection, but it is not that uncommon. If it does occur, I will tell my patients to gently massage them down a bit to soften them.

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid product similar to what is normally found in the body.

Whats the difference between Botox and Juvederm?

Juvederm is used to treat areas of facial deflation to restore or enhance volume. Botox is used to neutralize the effects of facial lines of animation. They are used for very different indications.

Which lasts longer Juvederm or Restylane?

Juvederm and Restylane will last about the same amount of time.

Can Juvederm be reversed?

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid product and can be dissolved if a patient is not happy with the treatment.

Does Juvederm expand?

Juvederm breaks down by absorbing water so in essence, it can expand from this process. However, you will not see an increase in volume of the area as it dissolves.

How often can Juvederm be injected?

Juvederm can be injected as often as you desire to achieve the results that you want.

When did Juvederm come out?

Juvederm has been available for almost 15 years.

How many syringes of Juvederm do I need for marionette lines?

There is no specific number of syringes required. It really depends on how deflated you are and what your goal is. I commonly use one or two syringes for this area.

How painful are Juvederm injections?

Juvederm injections are not usually painful. I often apply topical anesthetics to the face first. The product itself also has numbing medication in it as well.

Whats better Juvederm or Restylane?

Juvederm and Restylane are both hyaluronic acid products. They can be used in very similar situations.

Does Juvederm dissolve over time?

Yes, Juvederm will dissolve over time, and further treatment to recreate the desired result will likely need to be performed in 6-9 months.

Where can Juvederm be injected?

Juvederm can be injected off-label to almost any area on the face or even the hands that have signs of deflation.
