Why should women have all the fun? Here is some information for the men. Men make up about 50% of the population and deserve to look good as well. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, more than 750,000 men underwent aesthetic plastic surgery procedures last year. The number of cosmetic procedures for men increased over 88% from 1997. The top five surgical procedures for men were: liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, breast reduction to treat enlarged male breast, and cosmetic ear surgery. In my practice, I have seen an increased number of men desiring face lifts as well. Forget about the non-invasive procedures! In my opinion, men are enjoying the rejuvenation from these procedures as much as my female patients. While they are not as likely to have laser procedures that warrant any cover-up type makeup or downtime, they certainly are enjoying the fillers and neuromodulators( i.e. Botox/Dypsort) with the minimal downtime.
