Commonly 6-packs and 8-packs are thought to be the sexiest option for a tummy. Yet, it is very difficult for most people to achieve muscular definition in that area by dieting or exercising alone. For most of us, it would demand intense regular sessions of cardio workout to burn the fat from that area.
In fact, the abdomen is one region of the body where fat is most difficult to erase. This is because fat acts as a thermo, isolating the organs in our thoracic cavity from the outside cold and concentrating their inner heat. Isn’t it amazing how our human body conserves energy?
People not wanting to suffer the tedious and ongoing physical pain of hardcore fat-burning exercises, that still want that seemingly impossible 8-pack, now have a surgical solution.
There are 5 main techniques of extracting fat from the abdominal region. These are:
Contents
showEndoscopic Abdominoplasty
This method is generally performed in patients with little skin laxity and a reduced amount of fat. It effectively extracts fat through a few small incisions.
Mini-Abdominoplasty
It targets patients with saggy skin and larger masses of confined fat in the abdominal region. This procedure requires a larger elliptical scission.
Modified Full-Abdominoplasty
This treatment is performed on patients that have previously gone through abdominal liposuction. The incision is performed on the lower abdominal region.
Full Abdominoplasty
This surgical operation is more ambitious that the others, and can be a good option for patients with more skin redundancy wishing to reduce larger quantities of fat.
Circumferential Abdominoplasty
Patients that have experienced a significant weight loss and have loads of lagging skin are the ones this treatment is intended for.
Doctors urge patients to understand that liposuction is not meant to be a weight-losing procedure.
